Goodies Speed Shop to Anchor Club Auto Sport Phase II

Groundbreaking occurred this week on the new building at Club Auto Sport which is being fast-tracked to enable Goodies to open in its new location in March 2012. The new Goodies will include a well-designed retail store featuring a wide variety of speed and performance parts and accessories — in addition to its signature service center, and a fabrication area for the custom parts we sell.

If you’ve toured Club Auto Sport or attended an event held at the club, you probably think you’ve seen it all. The spectacular 10,000 sq. ft. clubhouse and lounge with its polished black granite floor and 20-foot floor-to-ceiling window walls. The vibrant business community. The beautifully lit drive aisles. And the hundreds of public, private and member events attracting thousands of guests annually. And lots of beautiful cars!

Goodies will take approximately the front five business condos totaling 8,000 sq. ft. of the new 33,000 sq. ft. of space that will be erected behind the existing 87,000 sq. ft. business center and club. The common thread connecting Goodies and Club Auto Sport is a passion for high-performance cars. Our customers love fast cars and enjoy customizing and maintaining each one to suit their unique driving styles and tastes. Many also take their cars to the track whenever they can. We believe Goodies customers will enjoy the community environment at Club Auto Sport. We've consistently stood for the highest quality parts and a commitment to personal service. Club Auto Sport provides an ideal environment for us.

Goodies Speed Shop Van For Sale

1967 Dodge A100 van restored to be a Goodies Speed Shop delivery van clone. During the late 60's and early 70's Goodies Speed Shop had a fleet of delivery vans that they used to run parts in. This van started life as a regular "window" van and was converted to a panel/delivery van with a full paint job inside and out in 2007. All of the paint, body, and restoration work were meticulously done at Michael and Company in San Jose, CA. Many custom touches have been done on the van as well, including a custom black and orange interior with Corbeau Sport seats wrapped in black and orange leather. The interior also hosts a Grant custom Mahogany steering wheel and Autometer tachometer.

On the inside, the van also has a custom stereo with a CD head unit, equalizer, two 6-1/2' speakers in the front doors, four 6x9 speakers in the main cabin with two Kicker 12' subwoofers and two amps.

For a powerplant the van has a 318 c.i. V-8 (original V-8 van) with a 727 3 speed auto trans. The engine is fairly stock with the exception of a mild Comp Cam (sounds great) and an Edelbrock intake and 600cfm electric choke carburetor. The van also has an upgraded cooling system with a BeCool Aluminum Radiator and an electric auxiliary fan. The exhaust system has been upgraded with full-length headers and 2 chamber Flowmaster Mufflers with custom "zoomie" style exhaust tips that come out either side of the van before the back wheels. The wheels are American Racing "Hopsters" 17x8 front and rear with knock-offs for that classic, vintage look.

The van has been a lot of fun and a great advertising tool for the store. It turns heads everywhere it goes and has a personality all its own. While the van has been great, it's now time for Goodies to focus on new projects.
